1.Maruti Suzuki (1,13,851 Units)

2.Tata (35,300 Units)

• With that, the next good news for Tata comes in the form of sales numbers as they are a whopping 50% higher than December 2020. Breaking the 10-year record, Tata sold 35,300 cars in December 2021 versus 23,546 cars in 2020.

3.Hyundai (32,312 Units)

• The Korean carmaker, Hyundai, had been taking the second position after Maruti Suzuki for many consecutive months and years. But sadly, Tata in December 2021 broke the streak. That said, Hyundai also recorded a 32% decline in car sales from December 2020. In December 2020 they sold 57,400 vehicles in India.

4.Mahindra (15,338 Units)

• Up-next is another Indian carmaker, Mahindra. Though 4th place on the grid, the Mahindra did witness a gain of 12% car sales when compared to December 2020. Last month Mahindra sold 15,338 SUVs in India, whereas in the same month of 2020, they sold 13,754.

5.Toyota (10,832 Units)

6.Honda (7,973 Units)

7.Kia (7,797 Units)

9.Volkswagen (3,700 Units)
