New Maruti Suzuki Brezza to be launched soon – Details so far
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will go on sale in India on June 30. The Indian automaker recently began bookings for the updated model in the country, with 4,500 bookings on the first day alone. According to a leaked document, the Maruti Brezza 2022 will be available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+.
We have learned about some new features that are likely to be offered in the upcoming model in the week leading up to its official launch. Learn more about the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza in the sections below.
The new Brezza will have dimensions of 3,995mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,685mm in height. The model has a wheelbase of 2,500mm. The refreshed Brezza will have a new fascia with a new grille flanked by LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs. In addition, the redesigned front bumper receives new foglamp housings and a silver skid plate to emphasise the SUV's personality.
Although the side profile appears to be similar to the outgoing model, it will be refreshed with redesigned alloy wheels, squared-off wheel arches, and wider cladding. Redesigned LED taillights and 'Brezza' lettering across the boot lid highlight the rear section. Furthermore, a silver skid plate is added to the rear bumper to complement the overall SUV design.
To pique the interest of potential buyers, the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to receive revised upholstery with a black and brown theme. For the first time, the compact SUV will include an electric sunroof, as well as a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, and a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment unit.
The vehicle will include an ARKAMYS music system, a cooled glovebox, a new flat-bottom steering wheel with controls, ambient lighting, new HVAC system controls, a 12V socket in the rear row, and a push start/stop button for entertainment and convenience.
In terms of safety, the vehicle will offer up to six airbags, electronic stability program, hill-hold assist, roll-over mitigation, and a reverse parking camera.
The existing 1.5-litre, K12C petrol engine, which produces 103bhp and 138Nm of torque, is expected to power the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Furthermore, the mild-hybrid motor will generate 3bhp at 900rpm. A five-speed manual transmission and a new six-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be available.
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will compete against the likes of the recently launched 2022 Kia Sonet, 2022 Hyundai Venue, and the Tata Nexon.
