Production-ready The Mahindra Scorpio-N has been spotted without its camouflage.

  • To be released on June 27, 2022
  • To be available in both petrol and diesel engine options
The unmasked Mahindra Scorpio-N has been spotted ahead of its official launch in India on June 27. The SUV will be offered in six-seat and seven-seat configurations. The new model receives cosmetic and functional updates. The Scorpio Classic will continue to be sold alongside the current generation Scorpio.

The Scorpio-N gets a new grille with chrome vertical slats and dual-projector headlamps with sequential turn indicators, as seen in the images. It also has C-shaped LED DRLs on both ends of the bumper. A muscular beltline inspired by the XUV700 flanks the sides. The SUV also gets silver highlights on the cladding, chrome inserts on the door handles, and body-colored ORVMs. The vehicle is outfitted with dual-tone twin-spoke alloy wheels. The rear section receives Volvo-style signature LED taillights.

The interior of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio-N is brown and black, with premium upholstery. Steering-mounted controls, a digital instrument cluster, 60:40 split or captain seat options in the second row, and an Adrenox infotainment system are among the features. The SUV will also have dual-zone climate control and possibly ventilated front row seats for added convenience. In addition, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N will include a Sony music system.

The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio-N will be available with both petrol and diesel engines mechanically. The petrol Scorpio-N is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre mStallion 150 TGDi engine producing 150bhp at 5,000rpm. The torque figures for the manual and automatic petrol transmissions are likely to differ. The manual transmission unit produces 300Nm between 1,250 and 3,000rpm, while the automatic transmission unit produces 320bhp between 1,500 and 3,000rpm.

The diesel version, on the other hand, is expected to be powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk 130 engine that produces 130bhp at 3,750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1,600-2,800rpm. Both engines are available with manual or automatic transmissions.
