New Maruti Suzuki Alto likely to be launched by August-end

Maruti Suzuki's next product will most likely be an updated budget hatchback called the new Alto. The new model was recently spotted during a TV commercial shoot, and it is expected to be released in the second half of August 2022.

According to recently leaked spy photos, the new Alto will be slightly larger in size than the current model. It will almost certainly get larger halogen headlamps and a larger front grille with a mesh pattern. The hatchback will have squared tail lamps and pull-up door handles, as well as steel wheels with covers.

The new Alto's cabin will be updated with a new dashboard design, a touchscreen infotainment system, a redesigned analogue instrument cluster, and a manual air conditioner. The upholstery will be draped in a new colour scheme as well.

In terms of powertrain, we anticipate that it will be powered by the K10C petrol engine, which was recently introduced in the new Celerio. The motor produces 66bhp and 89Nm of torque and can be paired with either a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission. A CNG alternative may also be introduced in the future.
